MyoD1 protein is a squamous acidified protein with a molecular weight of 45kDa, expressed only in embryonic striated muscle cells, and not expressed in normal adult striated muscle cells. Therefore, it is a normal sensitive and specific marker of skeletal muscle tumors. This antibody is mainly used for the diagnosis of rhabdosarcoma.
