Polygonati kingianum polysaccharide alleviates dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis by modulating gut microbiota and metabolic homeostasis

A new study has just been published in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (IF > 8)!
Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangxi Chinese Medicine Innovation Center reported that Polygonati kingianum polysaccharide (PKP) effectively alleviates DSS-induced colitis in mice by restoring intestinal barrier integrity, modulating immune responses, and reshaping gut microbiota and metabolism.
In this work, the team utilized secondary antibodies from Celnovte Biotechnology (SD3100) for immunohistochemistry, enabling the detection of tight junction proteins (ZO-1, Occludin) and inflammation marker Ly6C. These results provided solid evidence of PKP’s protective role in rebuilding intestinal barrier function and reducing inflammation【DOI:10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2025.144836】.
