SOX-2

SOX-2 (SRY related HMG box-2) gene is one of the most basic stem cell genes, and its encoded protein is an important transcription factor that maintains the self-renewal and proliferative capacity of embryonic stem cells and various tissue stem cells. The expression of SOX-2 is related to the prognosis of many tumors. It is reported in the literature that SOX2 is highly expressed in colon cancer and is a candidate biomarker for prognosis.
