MelanA is a product of the MART-1 gene, a melanin cell differentiation marker identified by its own cytotoxic T- lymphocytes. Other melanoma-related markers that can be identified by their own cytotoxic T cells include MAGE-1, MAGE-3, tyrosine, gpl00, gp75, BAGE-1 and GAGE-l. Therefore,To analyze these different molecules and their expression in individual melanomas helps to study their special molecular effects in melanocyto differentiation and tumor development.
