Parvovirus B19

Parvovirus B19 is a small single-chain DNA virus that can cause infectious erythema, also known as slapped cheek syndrome. In Clinical diagnosis , the disease is a fever disease in children. It is usually epidemic and shows facial papules cause redness on the cheeks. Sometimes ,individuals are accompanied by red blood cell abnormalities, such as sickle cell anemia. Besides, the parvovirus B19 causes hemolytic complications ,then the virus replicates in bone marrow cells and inhibits erythropoiesis.
