IDH1

IDH1 gene mutation is somatic cell- specific and only occurs in certain subunit of glioma, which can be used as the basis for the subunit of glioma gene. The hybrid mutation at the 132nd point of the IDH1 gene occurred in more than 80% of low-grade gliomas, including astrocyma, oligodendroglioma and oligoastrocytomas as well as secondly glioblastoma tumor, and further studies showed that the prognosis of the IDH1 mutation was significantly better than that of wild. Therefore, the determination of IDH1 gene mutation is an important reference index for pathological diagnosis and prognostic evaluation. In adult gliomas, young patients generally have IDH1 mutations and have better prognosis.
