GCDFP-15

The breast cystic disease is a benign lesion of premenopausal breast with cysts as the main pathological change.According to the cytosolic analysis of normal tissue specimens from all major organs demonstrated that GCDFP-15 was present in apocrine secretory epithelium, dacryocyst, cerumen and Moll's glands, as well as in serous cells of most mandibular glands, trachea, bronchi, sublingual glands, and sialoid glands. Otherwise, the different concentrations of GCDFP-15 have been reported in the solute of breast cancer tissue cells. The highest concentration of GCDFP-15 was found in well-differentiated breast cancer, and only a few epithelial cells were GCDFP-15 positive in normal breast lobules and small ducts. Additionally,it has also been reported to be expressed in apocrine metaplasia of fibronectoma. Moreover, GCDFP-15 has been found to be co-expressed with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in androgen-receptor-positive breast tumors.
