CD56 (NCAM) SCLC

CD56 is belong to a cell surface glycoprotein as an adhesion molecule of nerve cells and a marker of NK cells. It also plays an important role in the embryogenesis and development as well as in the interconnection of nerve cells. Additionally, CD56 is important in the research of cancer invasiveness. It is significantly expressed in neurons cells, astrocytes, NK nuclei and a small number of activated T lymphocytes.
