CD5 antigen was expressed in 95% thymus cells and 72% peripheral blood lymphocytes. In the lymph nodes, a major reaction with T cells was observed. CD5 antigens also respond to B cells in many t-cell leukemias, lymphomas, activated T nuclei, and Some B cells are located primarily in the normal lymph node region. CD5 antigen has also been reported to be expressed in acute t-lymphoblastic leukemia (t-all), partial chronic b-lymphoblastic leukemia (b-cll), and B and t-cell lymphomas.
