Mucin protein is a group of high molecular weight transmembrane glycoproteins expressed in most secretory epithelial cells, including breast epithelial and some hematopoietic cells. It is widely expressed in the breast of milk secretion, in more than 90% of breast cancer has been expressed.Mucin-1 is expressed in many benign serous tumors, but the expression rate decreases in benign mucus tumors. In malignant tumors, it is usually expressed in the adenocarcinoma and at the junction of serous tumors and mucus tumors. The simultaneous expression of Mucin-1 and Mucin-2 is correlated with the malignant degree of ovarian mucus tumor.
