Microphthalmia Transcription Factor (MiTF)(C5/D5), MMab

MITF is a melanin core marker. Studies have shown that this is a marker of a sensitive, specific malignant melanoma, including some spindle cell. MITF has been shown to be more specific and sensitive than S100 and HMB45. MiTF can be used to identify melanomas.
