Topoisomerase TOPIIα

Topoisomerase II α is a key ribozyme in the process of DNA replication and the target of many anti-cancer drugs for treating tumors. The reduction of topoisomerase II α expression is the main mechanism of resistance to several chemotherapeutic drugs. The literature shows that the expression of topoisomerase IIα is significantly different in many different tumors, and topoisomerase Ⅱβ is more widely expressed than topoisomerase II α in primary breast cancer. The expression and activity of topoisomerase IIα are related to the cell cycle and the level of cell proliferation.
