PU .1

The transcription factor , PU. 1 is a key regulatory element for the expression of myeloid genes. Its distribution is wide and function is specific. It directly impacts the differentiation and development of myeloid precursor cells. PU.1 is mainly expressed in hematopoietic cells, including CD34 cells, macrophages, B lymphocytes, neutrophils, mastocyte and proerythroblast etc.
