Synaptophysin (C9D11), MMab

Synaptophysin is a 38 kDa integral membrane protein found in presynaptic vesicles of neurons in the brain, spinal cord, and retina, as well as in similar vesicles in adrenal dullary cells and neuromuscular junctions.Synaptophysin may be involved in synaptic vesicle formation anad exocytosis. It is primarily usedfor the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pheochromocytoma, ganglionma, paraganglioma, and tumors of the neuroendocrine system.
