CK5/6/p40 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical)
CK5/6/p40 detection reagent (Immunohistochemical) is mainly used to qualitatively identify CK5/6 and p40 proteins. Using immunohistochemical dual staining detection and multiple antibody combination technology, there are detected two antigen targets at the same time on the same sample tissue section by one staining process.
Product Feature
a) CK5/6 is mainly expressed in the membrane and cytoplasm of squamous epithelial cells and is generally negative in glandular epithelium.
b) CK5/6 supports the differential diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma.
c) p40 (ΔNp63) is expressed in bronchial basal cells and glandular myoepithelial cells and is a sensitive, specific marker for lung squamous cell carcinoma.
d) Combined CK5/6 and p40 staining improves the sensitivity and specificity of lung squamous cell carcinoma identification.
e) When used with TTF-1 and Napsin A, the CK5/6/p40 antibody combination helps distinguish poorly differentiated lung squamous cell carcinoma from lung adenocarcinoma.
