Adrenocorticotropin(ACTH)
ACTH is a polypeptide hormone secreted by anterior pituitary cells. It is mainly used for the functional classification of pituitary tumors and the differential diagnosis of primary and metastatic pituitary tumors.It can also be used to detect the distribution of hormone cells in some neuroendocrine tumors, such as pheochromocytoma and carcinoid.
