Protein Gene Product 9.5
Protein Gene Product 9.5, also known as ubiquitin - hydroxy - terminalhydrolase1, is a protein with a molecular weight of 27kDa and can be isolated from brain extracts.In early stage, the expression of the PGP9.5 protein was confined to neurons and neuroendocrine cells in normal tissues. A t present ,it is found that this protein is also expressed in end-renal tube epithelial cells,spermatogonium, testicular interstitial cells, oocytes, melanocytes, prostate epithelial cells, Merkel cells, etc.
