Product Application: 

Used for staining chondrocytes and mast cells in human tissue samples.

Staining Principle: 

Mast‑cell granules contain polysulfate substances such as heparin and histamine, which exhibit metachromasia. Upon contact with the metachromatic dye toluidine blue, the dye changes color from blue to purplish‑red, enabling rapid localization of mast‑cell granules.

Staining Results: 

Mast cells appear purplish‑red; cell nuclei are blue.
