Staining Principle:
Ferric iron is released from protein by dilute hydrochloric acid and reacts with potassium ferrocyanide to produce Prussian‑blue precipitate, which indirectly demonstrates the presence of tissue hemosiderin.
Staining Results:
Iron‑containing hemosiderin appears bright blue; cell nuclei are stained red.
