Thyroglobulin (2H11+6E1),MMab
Thyrogloulin (TG) is a 670 kDa glycoprotein synthesized by thyroid follicles. This protein is expressed in normal tyroid follicular epithelium and colloid, as well as in thyroid follicular adenoma, follicular carcinoma, and papillary carcinoma. However, TG shows weak or negative expression in poorly differentiated carcinomas derived from thyroid follicular epithelium, such as anaplastic/undifferentiated carcinomas. This antibody serves as a specific marker for normal thyroid tissue and for both benign and malignant thyroid tumors.
