SMARCA4/Brg1(SN20-03),RMab
Brg1/ SMARCA4 is a component of the SWVSNF complex, which belongs to the family of ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes. The SWI/ SNF complex plays an important role in a range of crucial biological processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and DNA damage repair. It can bind to BRCA1 and regulate the expression of the oncoprotein CD44, and is expressed in mamy normal epithelia. Loss of Brg1/SMARCA4 expression is observed in the majority of ovarian small cell carcinomas of hypercalcemic type, some ovarian clear cell carcinomas and endometrial stromal sarcomas, as well as in subsets of adrenal carcinomas, lung cancers, medulloblastomas, and pancreatic cancers. Approximately 50% of dedifferentiated carcinomas also show loss of expression.
