Glypican 3(1G12),MMab
The Glypican family consists of six members, each composed of a core protein linked to glycosaminoglycan (GAG) chains. The Glypican-3 (GPC3) gene is located on human chromosome Xq26.1 and encodes a 580-amino-acid extracellular glycoprotein with a relative molecular mass of 66 kDa. GPC3 is involved in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, and migration. It may also play a role in inhibiting or modulating the growth of most mesodermal tissues and organs. GPC3 expression is upregulated in various malignant tumors. Recent studies indicate that Glypican-3 holds significant value in distinguishing between benign and malignant tumors.
