Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein(GA5),MMab
Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) is an intermediate filament protein with a molecular weight of 52 kDa. It has been reported to be expressed in glial cells, such as astrocytes and ependymal cells. In the peripheral nervous system, GFAP is expressed in Schwann cells, enteric glial cells, and satellite cells of human sensory ganglia. In neoplastic tissues, GFAP expression is observed in astrocytomas and ependymomas.
