E-Cadherin(C12A15),RMab

E-Cadherin n is a Ca²⁺-dependent cell adhesion molecule that plays an important role in the growth, development, and intercellular adhesion of epithelial cells. The structural abnormalities of most tumors and the loss of adhesion they cause are considered to be important steps in local invasion and development. E-Cadherin may play a role in tumor progression, especially as an inhibitor of invasion. For example, in prostate cancer, E-Cadherin expression is reduced or absent, while normal prostate is strongly expressed. In primary breast tumors, the expression of E-Cadherin n and α, β, γ-catenin is reduced or absent, and these four proteins are related to the development of metastasis. The main use of E-Cadherin protein immunohistochemistry is in the significantly different expression in breast lo bu carcinoma and ductal carcinoma.
