Epstein-Barr Virus (LMP-1) (CS1/CS2/CS3/CS4Cocktail), MMab

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is one of eight known human herpesviruses and belongs to the Gammaherpesvirinae subfamily, sharing this subfamily classification with Human Herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8). Herpesviruses possess a large double-stranded DNA genome and are complex viruses, typically encoding more than 35 proteins. These include not only viral structural proteins but also enzymes involved in nucleic acid metabolism, DNA synthesis, and protein processing. These viruses establish latency in the host, during which no obvious symptoms of infection are apparent, and the level of infectious agent is very low. During latency, viral gene expression is restricted to a small number of genes. Latent membrane protein 1 (LMP-1) is a 60 kDa protein encoded by the BNLFI gene of EBV.
