ATRX(BSB-108),MMab
ATRX (Alpha-Thalassemia/Mental Retardation Syndrome X-linked) is a protein involved in chromatin remodeling and the maintenance of telomere stability. In neuro-oncology, the loss of nuclear ATRXx expression is a defining molecular marker for certain types of gliomas, including astrocytomas. ATRX loss istypically mutually exclusive with 1p/19gq co-deletion and is often associated with IDH mutations. ATRX IHCis an essential component of the integrated diagnostic approach for the molecular classification of adultdiffuse gliomas according to WHO guidelines.
