CD57 (MyM1-CD57), MMab
CD57 is a glycoprotein, also known as NK-1, with a molecular weight of 110 kDa. It has been identified in a subset of mononuclear cells with natural killer activity and in neuroectodermal cells expressing myelin-associated glycoproteins.
Many T-cell subsets, particularly suppressor/cytotoxic T cells, co-express CD57 and CD8. In graft-versus-hostdisease, these cells are involved in graft rejection. CD57 is not expressed on erythrocytes or platelets.
