CD16 is a low affinity Fc receptor and found mainly on the surface of natural killer cells.and neutrophils, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes, as well as macrophages. CD16 can be used in immunohistochemical staining to differentiate T cell lymphoma from T cell lymphoma and T cell large lymphocytic leukemia.High expression of CD16 positive cell infiltration in colorectal cancer patients has been reported to be associated with improved overall survival.
