PSMA is a type II transmembrane protein with 110kD, the gene is located on the chromosome short arm 11q. Normally, it is expressed in the prostate epithelial of normal and tumoral, but also in some other tissues, such as breast, duodenum, kidney tissue and benign epithelial cells. The expression of PSMA is positively correlated with tumor levels and the presence of hormone resistance in prostate cancer. The antibody can be found to be in the new blood vessels of non-prostate tumor essence, and PSMA is now considered to be a marker for prostate cancer.
