Cyclin B1 is a mitmite-related regulatory protein that forms a complex with p34(cdc2) to form a maturation promoter. The Cyclin b1-cdk1 complex is associated with the early development of mitosis, such as the breakdown of the nucleated envelope of chromosomes and spindle cell assembly. Cyclin B1 has been reported to be overexpressed in a variety of tumors.
