C-met is a protein product encoded by the C-Met proto-oncogene, which is a hepatocyte growth factor receptor with tyrosine kinase activity. It is related to a variety of oncogene products and regulatory proteins, and is involved in the regulation of cell information transmission and cytoskeletal rearrangement. It is an important factor of cell proliferation, differentiation and movement.
