Osteopontin is a versatile protein that participates in bone mineralization, cell adhesion, cell migration, chronic inflammatory diseases and cell transformation, as well as it plays the occurrence and metastasis of animal and human tumors. It is widely found in normal adult tissues and body fluids. The protein is also expressed in 20% of lung phosphorus cancer and 30% of liver cancer.
