Claudin1 is a transmembrane protein closely related to cells, also known as senescence related epithelial membrane protein 1(SEMP1). It may participate in the senescence and carcinogenesis of breast epithelial cells by inhibiting the proliferation of epithelial cells.This antigen is highly expressed in aging human breast epithelial cells (HMECS), poorly expressed in normal HMECS, and severely deficient in breast cancer tissues and breast cancer cell lines.
