CD11c shares the phagocyte subunit with some members of the leukocyte adhesion molecule family.CD11c is a type I transmembrane protein highly expressed in human dendritic cells. It is expressed in hair cell leukemia, acute non-lymphocytic leukemia, and some b-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
