S100p is a new member of the S100 family, originally separated from the placenta, so named S100p. This protein is widely distributed in normal tissues including heart, brain, liver, lung, bone marrow, peripheral blood cells, etc., and is expressed in cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus. S100p is a specific marker for differential diagnosis of bladder cancer.
